Chutney Chicken Biryani by Shireen Anwer

Ingredients:

  • Chicken 1 kg
  • Yogurt 1-1/2 cup
  • Salt 1-1/2 tsp
  • All spice 1 tsp
  • Turmeric 1/4 tsp
  • Brown onion 1 cup
  • Whole spices 1 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Rice 1/2 kg
  • Oil 3/4 cup

For Chutney:

  • Coriander leaves 1 bunch
  • Mint leaves 1/2 bunch
  • Onion 1
  • Green chilies 30
  • Garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Cumin 1-1/2 tbsp
  • Desiccated coconut 1/2 cup

Method:

  1. For chutney: Put all ingredients in grinder, grind it and keep it aside.
  2. Now heat oil and put whole spices.
  3. Now add brown onion and ginger garlic paste and fry it nicely.
  4. Now put chutney, chicken, salt and turmeric and fry it nicely.
  5. Then add yogurt, cover it and cook until chicken is ready.
  6. For assemble biryani: Spread half rice in pan base.
  7. Put chutney chicken mixture.
  8. Then put remaining rice, cover it and keep on simmer.
  9. Serve with raita.
