Biryani Khyberi by Shireen Anwer

Ingredients:

  • Chicken (12 pieces) 1 kg
  • Rice 750 gm
  • Tomatoes chopped 3
  • Brown onion 1 cup
  • Yogurt whipped 1 cup
  • Ginger garlic 2 tbsp
  • Salt 1-1/2 tsp
  • Oil 3/4 cup
  • Chili powder 3 tsp
  • Whole mix spice 1 tbsp
  • All spice 1 tsp
  • Green chilies 6
  • Chopped coriander 1/2 cup
  • Mint leaves 15
  • Milk 3/4 cup
  • Saffron 4/1 tsp
  • Potato (12 pieces) 3

Method:

  1. Heat oil, put whole mix spices, brown onion, tomatoes and chicken and fry it nicely.
  2. Now add ginger garlic paste, yogurt, salt, chili powder and all spice and fry it nicely.
  3. Then put potatoes with 1 cup water and cover it.
  4. Now cook in until potatoes tender and gravy remains thick.
  5. Then take out oil and keep it aside.
  6. Then put all spice and chopped coriander and spread boiled rice on top.
  7. Then add oil.
  8. Now put milk and saffron mixture on top, simmer it for 20 minutes and serve hot.
