Ingredients:

  • Honey 1 cup
  • Yogurt 1/2 cup
  • Butter 6 oz
  • Granulated sugar 1/2 cup
  • Eggs 3
  • Flour 3/4 cup
  • Baking powder 2 tsp
  • Baking soda 1/4 tsp
  • Salt 1/4 tsp
  • Walnuts chopped & roasted 1 cup

For Honey Icing:

  • Butter softened 3 oz
  • Honey 3 tbsp
  • Icing sugar 1-1/3 tsp

Method:

  1. Mix honey and yogurt in bowl.
  2. Now mix butter and sugar and beat until creamy.
  3. Then put eggs 1 by 1.
  4. Beat after putting 1 egg.
  5. Now mix flour, honey & yogurt mixture, baking powder, baking soda and salt & butter mixture.
  6. Then mix all ingredients and add in walnut mixture.
  7. Now spread this mixture in pan and bake on 175 degrees C for 1 hour.
  8. Then take out cake on wire rack and cook for 10-15 minutes.
  9. For honey icing: Beat butter and honey until smooth.
  10. Then add icing sugar gradually gradually.
  11. Also beat until it becomes spread.
  12. Now spread icing on cold cake.
  13. Cut cake into square small pieces and serve.
