Ingredients:

  • Mutton 250 gm
  • Onion medium 1
  • Oil 1/4 cup
  • Wheat of haleem (soaked) 2 tbsp
  • Fennel seeds 1 tsp
  • Whole garam masala 1 tsp

Other Ingredients:

  • Ginger garlic 1/2 tsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder 1/2 tsp
  • Cumin 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric 1 pinch
  • Salt 1/2 tsp
  • Curd 2 tbsp
  • Tomato chopped 2
  • Green chilies 2
  • Black pepper 4
  • Clove 1
  • Cardamom 1
  • Cinnamon 1 stick

Method:

  1. Put fennel seeds and whole garam masala in cloth and make small potli.
  2. Now heat oil and fry onion until light golden.
  3. Then fry ginger garlic, cumin, red chili powder, turmeric and coriander powder with tomatoes nicely.
  4. Then put black pepper, clove, cardamom, cinnamon, salt, mutton, wheat and potli and cook it nicely.
  5. Then add 2 cup water, cover it and leave it on low flame.
  6. When mutton tender, put curd and cook again until oil comes up.

Khaliya is a Main Course, prepared with Mutton, Wheat & Curd and served with Raita & Naan or Rice.
