Indian Dal by Shireen Anwer

Ingredients:

  • Moong daal 1 cup
  • Ginger 1/2 tsp
  • Garlic 1/2 tsp
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Green chilies 10
  • Tomatoes 5-6
  • Lemon juice 2 tbsp
  • Turmeric 1/2 tsp

For Bhagar:

  • Curry leaves few
  • Whole red chilies few
  • Mustard 1/2 tsp

Method:

  1. Cook daal with turmeric, ginger, garlic, green chilies and tomatoes.
  2. When daal tender, blend with green chilies and tomatoes.
  3. Then add salt.
  4. Now make bhagar of curry leaves, red chilies and mustard.
  5. Then put bhagar on daal.
  6. Then garnish with green chilies and ginger slice.

Indian Dal is Popular Dish in India. It is Balanced Diet with source of Proteins. It is prepared with Moong Dal and served with Roti or Rice.
