Pot Roast Oxtail by Chef Tahir Chaudhry

Ingredients:

  • Oxtail 500 gm
  • Crushed garlic 3 cloves
  • Crushed ginger 1 inch
  • Crushed red chilies 1 tsp
  • Crushed peppercorns 2-3
  • Cloves 3
  • Cinnamon sticks 2 inches
  • Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Water 1/2 cup
  • Onions sliced 2
  • Potato wedges 2 big
  • Black pepper 1 tbsp
  • Tomato puree 3 tbsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tbsp
  • Oil 4 tbsp

Method:

  1. Put oxtail, ginger, garlic, red chili powder, peppercorn, cloves, cinnamon, cumin, salt and water in pressure cooker for 45 minutes and cool it.
  2. Then heat oil in pan, fry onion until dark brown, add black pepper and tomato and cook it.
  3. Now add oxtail stock, tomato puree and potato, cook more for 5 minutes and serve hot.
