Ingredients:

  • Boiled rice 1 cup
  • Boiled peas 1/2 cup
  • Boiled chickpeas 1/2 cup
  • Boiled red kidney beans 1/2 cup
  • Garlic 3-4
  • Olive oil 2-3 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Parsley for garnish

For Stock:

  • Chicken 1/2 kg
  • Chopped onion 2
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Crushed black pepper 1/2 tsp
  • Crushed red chili 1 tsp
  • Olive oil 2-3 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  1. For stock: Heat oil in pan, put chicken, onion and ginger garlic paste and roast it nicely.
  2. Now add black pepper. red chili and salt and cook for 5 minutes.
  3. Then put 2 jug water and cook for 1 hour on low flame.
  4. Stock is ready.
  5. Heat oil in pan and fry garlic.
  6. Now put peas, chickpeas, beans and rice and roast it.
  7. Now put in soup and cook for 5-10 minutes.
  8. Then take it out in serving dish and garnish with parsley.

Afghani Rice Soup is delicious soup. It is easy dish to make at home. It is commonly served in winter in Pakistan.
