Daal Palida Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Meat 1 kg
  • Tomatoes 6
  • Red chili 2 tsp
  • Turmeric 1 tsp
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tsp
  • Ginger garlic 1 tbsp
  • Oil 1 cup
  • Coriander leaves, Green chilies as required
  • Onion 1
  • Rice 1/2 kg
  • Green moong daal
  • Mint leaves 1/2 bunch
  • Fried onion 4
  • Dry mango powder 50 gm
  • Bajray flour 4 tbsp
  • Oil 4 tbsp

Method:

  1. Put moong daal and water in pan and cook it.
  2. When little water remains, strain it.
  3. Now put bajray flour and dry mango powder and cook for 10 minutes.
  4. For meat: Put water, tomatoes, red chili, onion, salt, turmeric, coriander powder and ginger garlic paste in meat and cook it.
  5. When meat tender, put oil, roast it nicely and add water.
  6. Now put coriander leaves and green chilies, cook for 10 minutes and close stove.
  7. For rice: Heat oil in pan, put rice, fried onion, mint leaves, green chilies and moong daal and mix it.
  8. Then simmer it for 10 minutes and close stove.

Daal Palida is traditional Bohra dish. Rice is cooked with moong daal and served meat gravy (palida). You must try this recipe.
