- 2 tsp water
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 500ml tomato pure
- 3 fresh basil leaves, finely chopped or pinch of dried basil leaves
- ground black pepper
- 2 tsp grated Parmesan cheese
- Heat the water in the saucepan until very hot.
- Add the garlic and simmer until tender.
- Add tomato pure, basil and black pepper to taste and stir.
- Simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Spoon the hot sauce over cooked plain or whole meal spaghetti.
- Top with grated Parmesan cheese.
