   Haleem

Ingredients:

  • Beef       1 kg
  • Wheat 250gm
  • Barley   250gm
  • White lentil 75 gm
  • Red lentil 75gm
  • Channey ki daal 75 gm
  • Mix spices 2tbsp
  • Oil    8 tbsp
  • Cumin pwd 2 tbsp
  • Chicken stock 3 cup
  • Onion1 
  • Ginger 4 tbsp
  • Coriander 1 bunch
  • Green chillies 8
  • Lemon rind   4
  • Red chilli pwd  2 tbsp
  • Turmeric 1 tsp
  • coriander pwd  2 tbsp
  • Star anise flower 1 tsp
  • Talhar pepper 3 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  1. In a pot , take 1 litre water and boil red and white lentil and channey ki daal in it.
  2. When it is cooked ,  blend it in a blender.
  3. Take half litre water in a pot,  add the blended lentils , chicken stock and beef and cook again , keep blending it.
  4. Heat oil in a pan medium brown fry the onions and take out.
  5. Mix red chiili pwd, talhar pwd, mix spice , cumin seeds, star anise, turmeric , coriander pwd and salt with water .
  6. Mix it in the haleem while stirring.
  7. Heat oil and give the haleem a tarka.
  8. Serve with browned onion, coriander and ginger.
