Ingredients For Safouf (Lebanese Cake):

  • Flour 1/2 cup
  • Semolina 3/4 cup
  • Turmeric powder  1/2 tsp
  • Baking powder  1 tsp
  • Salt  1/4 tsp
  • Butter 1/2 cup
  • Sugar 3/4 cup
  • Eggs 2
  • Curd 1/2 cup
  • Almonds 2 tbsp
  • Raisins 2 tbsp
  • White sesame seeds  2 tsp

Ingredients For Lebanese Makloubi With Meat:

Marinating Ingredients:

  • Beef or mutton  1 kg
  • Oil  4 tbsp
  • Large sized onion  1
  • Cinnamon powder  1/2 tsp
  • Cinnamon  2 piece
  • Nutmeg  1/2 tsp
  • Black pepper powder  1 tsp
  • Red chili powder  1 tsp
  • Bay leaf  2
  • Water  4-6 cups

Assembling ingredients:

  • Tomatoes  2
  • Small sized egg plant  2
  • Cauliflower 1/2 kg
  • Rice 2 cups
  • Salt 2 tsp
  • Ghee 4 tbsp
  • Almonds 2-3 tbsp
  • Pine nuts 2 tbsp

  • Black pepper powder  1 tsp
  • Oil 4 tbsp
  • Egg  1
  • Bread crumbs  1 cup
  • Flour  1/2 cup
