Chicken & Potato Pockets by Zarnak Sidhwa

Ingredients:

For Dough:

  • Flour 2 cups
  • Salt 1 pinch
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Water as required

For Filling:

  • Mashed potatoes 2 large
  • Shredded chicken 125 gm
  • Spring onion 3 medium
  • Soya sauce 1 tbsp
  • Chili sauce 1 tbsp
  • Chicken powder 1/2 tsp
  • Black pepper 1/2 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Mix herbs 1/2 tsp
  • Oil for frying

Method:

  1. Mix flour, salt, oil and water to make dough and leave it for few minutes to set.
  2. Take a bowl, mix all filling ingredients together.
  3. Next take dough and make small balls from that.
  4. Roll balls with help of rolling pin to make small chapatis.
  5. Now pull filling on one piece of rolled dough and give shape of pockets and press well on top corners.
  6. Next, deep fry it and make sure shape should not be spoiled.
  7. Cut green part of spring onion into thin strips and tie that on fried pockets in bow shape.
  8. Delicious chicken and potato pockets are ready to serve.
  9. Serve with chili garlic sauce or ketchup.
