Ingredients:

  • Boneless chicken 500 gm

For Marination:

  • Garlic 2 cloves
  • Lemon juice 1/4 cup
  • Apple cider vinegar 1/4 cup
  • Olive oil 1/4 cup
  • Cloves 4
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Cumin 1/2 tsp
  • Black cumin 1/4 tsp
  • Cardamom 1/4 tsp
  • Oregano 1/4 tsp
  • Cinnamon 1/4 tsp
  • Nutmeg 1 pinch
  • Crushed black pepper 1/2 tsp
  • Cayenne pepper 1/4 tsp
  • Ground ginger 1/4 tsp

For Tahini Sauce:

  • Tahini paste 2 tsp
  • Lemon juice 1/2 cup
  • Garlic crushed 3
  • Salt 1 pinch
  • For Sandwich:
  • French fries as required
  • Pita bread as required

Method:

  1. For marination: Mix garlic, cloves, salt, cumin, black cumin, cardamom, oregano, cinnamon, nutmeg, black pepper, cayenne pepper and ground ginger with lemon juice and apple cider vinegar nicely and put in blender.
  2. Then cut chicken into slices.
  3. Marinate chicken with mixture and keep in fridge.
  4. Now cook chicken on grill for 10-15 minutes on low flame and shred it.
  5. For tahini sauce: Add all ingredients in small bowl, mix it nicely and make sauce.
  6. Serve shawarma with pita bread, tahini sauce and french fries.

Chicken Shawarma is an Arabic Dish, prepared with Chicken, marinated with Apple Cider Vinegar & Spice and stuffed in Pita Bread. It is served in Mehndi Reception in Pakistan.
