Prawn Masala

Ingredients:

  • Oil 1/2 cup
  • Prawns 1/2 kg
  • Onions 3
  • Tomatoes 3
  • Garlic paste 1 tsp
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Whole cumin 1 tsp
  • Red chili powder 2 tsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tbsp
  • Green chilies 3
  • Tamarind pulp 1 tbsp
  • Jaggery 1 tsp
  • Coriander leaves 3 tbsp

Method:

  1. Heat oil in pan and fry onion until light golden.
  2. Add prawns and fry for 5 minutes.
  3. Then add tomatoes. add garlic, red chili powder, coriander powder, salt, cumin, green chilies and 1/2 cup water, cook for 10-15 minutes and saute it nicely.
  4. Now add tamarind pulp and jaggery, mix it nicely, garnish with coriander leaves and serve.

Prawn Masala is delicious dish. Masala is prepared with tomatoes and cooked with prawns & green chilies. Serve with rice.
