Ingredients:

  • Potatoes – ½ kg
  • Garlic paste ½ tbsp
  • Salt – to taste
  • Red chilies – 1 tbsp
  • Oregano – ½ tbsp
  • Mustard seeds – ½ tbsp
  • Nigella seeds – ½ tbsp
  • Sugar – 1 tbsp
  • Tamarind pulp – ½ cup
  • Oil – 5 tbsp

Method:

  1. Add red chilies and nigella seeds in 2 cups of boiling water.
  2. Add boiled potatoes and heat till the gravy thickens.
  3. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard, garlic and oregano till they start popping up.
  4. Add the frying pan content on the potatoes and cook for 5minutes.
  5. Add salt, sugar and tamarind. Mix the content thoroughly.
  6. Remove from heat and garnish with finely chopped green chilies.

Description Light spicy meal.
