Appetizer Meatballs

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup soft bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce

SAUCE:

  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper

Method:

  1. In a large bowl, mix well beef, egg, bread crumbs, milk, onion, salt and hot sauce.
  2. Shape into 1-in. balls. In a skillet over medium heat, brown meatballs; drain.
  3. Place in a 2-1/2-qt. baking dish. Combine sauce ingredients.
  4. Pour over meatballs.
  5. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 50-60 minutes or until meatballs are done.
