Eid-ul-Adha – or Bakra Eid (Eid of the goat) as we called it – is a day on which Muslims around the world sacrifice cows and goats in remembrance of Abraham’s willingness to sacrifice his son for God.the second most important festival in the Muslim calendar. Eid usually starts with Muslims going to the Mosque for prayers, dressed in their best clothes, and thanking Allah for all the blessings they have received.

After praying namaz all Muslims gather in ground to slaughter their animals, to eat meat they store it or give it to whomsoever he wishes, poor or rich. However, it is a common practice that the meat is divided into three parts: one part is retained for the consumption of one s own family; the second part is given to relatives, friends and neighbors; the third part is distributed amongst the poor and needy. On this religious occasion many delicious dishes are cooked in every home, A barbecue is a must on first day of Eid-ul-Adha. The fried liver of the animal is used as breakfast and different dishes include different varieties of kebabs (boneless meat that has been mashed and fried or roasted), haleem, Quorma, and other variety dishes make in lot of masalas.
