Chaat Tostadas

Ingredients:

  • Chickpeas as required
  • Oil 1/4 cup
  • Garlic 2 cloves
  • Whole cumin 1/2 tsp
  • Crushed chili 2 cups

For Serving:

  • Tortillas 8-12
  • Yogurt 1 cup
  • Tamarind chutney 2-1/2 cups
  • Green chutney 1 cup
  • Chaat masala as required
  • Onion 1
  • Tomato 1
  • Sev as required
  • Cilantro 1 bunch
  • Lemon wedges as required

Method:

  1. Put oil in big pot, heat on high flame, add garlic, cumin and crushed chili and stir it.
  2. Then add chickpeas, cook until crispy, add black pepper and keep it aside.
  3. When chickpeas tender, toss tortillas in oil and cook on medium flame.
  4. Then dry tortillas, keep on baking tray, bake on 400 degrees C for 5-6 minutes, take it out in plate and top with chickpeas.
  5. Then put tamarind chutney, green chutney, chaat masala, onion, yogurt, sev, cilantro, tomato and lemon wedges and serve.

Chaat Tostadas is different dish. Tortillas is fried and baked. Then topped with sev, chickpeas, vegetables, yogurt & chutney and serve. You must try this dish.
