Pyaz Pakora Recipe

Pyaz Pakora is tasty snack dish. You must try this different pakora at home. You can also add or subtract ingredients.

Ingredients:

  • Gram flour 1 cup
  • Rice flour 1/2 cup
  • Onions 1/2 kg
  • Green chilies chopped 2
  • Coriander leaves chopped 1/2 bunch
  • Red chili powder 1 tsp
  • White cumin 1 tsp
  • Turmeric 1/4 tsp
  • Garam masala powder 1 tsp
  • Carom seeds 1 tsp
  • Asafoetida 1 pinch
  • Baking soda 1 pinch
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper powder to taste
  • Oil as required
  • Water as required

For Serving:

  • Tomato ketchup to serve
  • Green chutney to serve
  • Chili garlic sauce to serve
  • Tamarind chutney to serve

Direction:

  1. First cut onion into rings.
  2. Then add green chilies, coriander leaves, black pepper, salt, red chili powder, white cumin, turmeric, garam masala powder, carom seeds and asafoetida, mix it nicely and keep it aside for 15 to 20 minutes.
  3. Then add gram flour, rice flour, baking soda and water and mix it nicely until onions rings are coated nicely and batter is thick.
  4. Then heat oil in wok on medium flame.
  5. Then put pyaz pakoray and deep fry until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Then take out in tissue paper so that it absorbs oil.
  7. Deep fry remaining pakoray like this.
  8. Then take out in dish and serve hot with tea and tomato ketchup or chili garlic sauce or green chutney or tamarind chutney or any sauce you want.

Pyaz Pakora is spicy and tasty pakora. Onion rings are mixed & coated with spices, green chilies, coriander leaves, potato, gram flour, rice flour & water and made thick batter. Then deep fried in hot oil and serve with any sauce or chutney of your choice.
