Jhanjar Biscuits 

Ingredients:

  • Butter: 100 gm
  • Ginger Powder: 3 tbsp
  • Brown sugar: 3 tbsp
  • Eggs: 4
  • Flour: 1 cup
  • Baking powder: 2 tbsp 

Method:

  1. Beat butter, ginger powder and brown sugar together till they turn light.
  2. Then add in eggs, flour, baking powder and make dough.
  3. Roll them and cut like biscuits.
  4. Bake for 15 minutes on 180 degrees.

Chicken Nihari

Ingredients:

  • Ghee: 2 tbsp
  • Ginger: 1 tbsp
  • Garlic: 1 tbsp
  • Chicken: 1 kg
  • Salt: to taste
  • Red chili powder: 1 tbsp
  • Nihari Masala: 1 packet
  • Water: 4 cups
  • Wheat: 2 tbsp
  • Flour: 1 tbsp
  • Coriander leaves: for garnishing
  • Green chilies: for serving
  • Lemon: for garnishing
  • Naan: for serving

Method:

  1. Heat ghee and add ginger, garlic, chicken, salt, red chili powder, nihari masala and mix well.
  2. Then add water and cook till fully tenderized.
  3. When chicken is half done, then mix wheat and flour in water and add this mixture to chicken.
  4. Now cook it on low flame and give bhigar.
  5. Garnish with coriander leaves, green chilies and lemon.
  6. Serve with naan.

Sada Naan

Ingredients:

  • Flour: 1 cup
  • Yeast: 1 packet
  • Soda: 2 pinch
  • Yogurt: 4 tbsp
  • Powder milk: 2 tbsp
  • Salt: 1/2 tsp
  • Oil: 2 tsp
  • Sesame seeds: 1 tbsp
Method:

  1. In flour, add yeast, soda, yogurt, powder milk, salt, oil and knead with Luke warm water.
  2. Leave it for half an hour.
  3. Move along the rolling pin and make round shaped naans.
  4. Set them on a greased tray and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
  5. Bake for 10 minutes at 180 degrees and serve.

Lahori Fried Fish

Ingredients:

  • Fish: 1 kg
  • Salt: 1 tbsp
  • Red chili powder: 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder: 1 tsp
  • Crushed red pepper: 1 tbsp
  • Lemon: 1/2
  • Vinegar: 1 tsp
  • Coriander: 1 tbsp
  • Crushed green chilies: 1 tbsp
  • Baisan: 1 cup
  • Chaat masala: for serving
Method:

  1. In baisan add all the ingredients and make a paste by adding water to it.
  2. Now marinate fish with this mixture and leave it for half an hour.
  3. Deep fry in oil.
  4. Sprinkle chaat masala and serve.
