Piyazi Karelay by Shireen Anwer

Ingredients:

  • Karelay 1/2 kg
  • Oil 1/2 cup
  • Green chilies 3 sliced
  • Onion 12 kg
  • Chili powder 1 tsp
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Sugar 1 tsp
  • Khatai powder 1 tsp
  • Coriander seeds 1 tbsp
  • Fennel seeds 1 tsp
  • Onion seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Yogurt 1/2 cup

Method:

  1. Peel karelay and cut into slice.
  2. Now put salt and leave for 30 to 60 minutes.
  3. Then wash it nicely.
  4. How heat oil and fry karelay until light golden.
  5. Then take it out from oil.
  6. Now fry onion until light golden.
  7. Then put karelay with coriander seeds, fennel seeds, onion seeds, chili powder and salt in it.
  8. Together add yogurt and fry it nicely.
  9. Then leave karelay for simmer.
  10. In end, add sugar and take it out.
