Ingredients:

  • Mutton 1/2 kg
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Chopped onion 2 to 3
  • Chopped tomato 2 to 3
  • Whole black pepper 6 to 8
  • Curry leaves 3 to 4
  • Cinnamon 1 to 2 sticks
  • Crushed black pepper 1 tsp
  • Poppy seed 1 tsp
  • Cumin 1 tsp
  • Whole coriander 1 tsp
  • Aniseed 1/2 tsp
  • Red chili powder 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  • Chopped green coriander 1/2 bunch
  • Cloves 2 to 3
  • Small cardamom 2 to 3
  • Oil 4 to 5 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  1. In a pot, put mutton, as required water, salt and turmeric, cook it, take out stock and separate it.
  2. Now roast poppy seed, aniseed, whole black pepper, whole coriander, cumin, cinnamon sticks, cloves and small cardamom to tawa or pan.
  3. Then grind in blender and make masala and keep it aside.
  4. In a pan heat oil, roast curry leaves, add chopped onion and fry.
  5. Then add ginger garlic paste and roast it.
  6. Then add red chili powder and crushed black pepper.
  7. Then add chopped tomatoes and pre-boiled meat and cook on high flame.
  8. When tomatoes tender, add grinded masala and mix it nicely.
  9. Then put stock and cook.
  10. When meat tender and gravy turns thick, dish it out.
  11. In end, garnish with green coriander and serve.
