Ingredients:

  • Semolina 375 Grams
  • Yogurt 250 Grams
  • Cumin powder 1 tsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tbsp
  • All spice powder 1 tsp
  • Ground mustard seeds 1 tsp
  • Yellow food color a pinch
  • Baking powder 2 tsp
  • Oil as required
  • Salt to taste

For Bhagar:

  • Curry leaves 8-10
  • Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Whole red chilies 4-5
  • Ghee 2 tbsp
  • Fresh coriander for garnishing

Method:

  1. Mix all ingredients except oil in mixing bowl well until soft.
  2. Now keep this mixture for whole night and beat it nicely before making idle.
  3. Then take mould of idle and spread oil in its bowl.
  4. Now keep coriander leaves in bowls and pour mixture.
  5. Then put in pot, steam it for 10-15 minutes, take it out and turn in deep plate. Idle is ready.
  6. For Bhagar: Heat ghee in karahi pan and roast curry leaves, whole red chilies and mustard seeds.
  7. Put bhagar in idle immediately and serve hot.
