Ingredients:

  • Mutton 1/2 kg
  • Yogurt 1 cup
  • Ginger garlic 1 tsp
  • Tomato paste 1 tsp
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Chili powder 1 tsp
  • Turmeric 1/4 tsp
  • Khoya 1/2 cup
  • Coriander leaves 2 tbsp
  • Green cardamom powder 1/2 tsp
  • Nutmeg 1/4 tsp
  • Mace 1/4 tsp
  • Cream 4 tbsp
  • Oil 1/2 cup
  • Onion 1 cup

Method:

  1. Marinate mutton with yogurt, ginger garlic, tomato paste, salt, chili powder and turmeric for 2 hours.
  2. Now heat oil and fry onion until light golden.
  3. Then add marinated mutton and fry it nicely.
  4. Now put 1 cup water, cover it and cook until meat is approx ready.
  5. Then add khoya, green cardamom powder, nutmeg, mace, cream and coriander leaves and simmer it for 10 minutes.
  6. Then serve with sheermal.
