Matar Pulao by Rida Aftab

Ingredients:

  • Green peas 1/2 kg
  • Rice soaked 1/2 kg
  • Tomatoes 250 gm
  • Green chilies 10
  • Onions 2
  • Salt 2 tsp
  • Fennel seeds 2 tsp
  • Whole coriander 2 tsp
  • Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • Cardamoms 4
  • Black cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • Black peppercorns 1 tsp
  • Bay leaves 2
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Mint leaves 1 bunch
  • Oil 1/2 cup

Method:

  1. Put onion, tomatoes, coriander, fennel seeds, salt and 4 glass water and cook on low flame.
  2. 2 glass stocks remains, close stove and strain stock.
  3. Put oil in pot and fry onion until brown.
  4. Then put whole mix spice.
  5. Also put ginger garlic paste and peas and roast it nicely.
  6. Now add stock, when it boils and put soaked rice.
  7. When water dries, put chopped mint leaves and green chilies.
  8. Simmer it for 15 minutes, take out in dish and serve.
