Ingredients:

  • Chicken cubes 400 gm
  • Salt 1/2 tsp
  • Black pepper 1/2 tsp
  • Soya sauce 1 tbsp

For Batter:

  • Egg 1
  • Flour 3 tbsp
  • Corn flour 1 tbsp
  • Salt 1/2 tsp
  • Black pepper 1/2 tsp
  • Baking powder 1/4 tsp

For Sauce:

  • Capsicum crushed 1
  • Orange juice 1/3 cup
  • Finely chopped onion 1
  • Corn flour 1 tsp
  • Soya sauce 2 tbsp
  • Stock 1 cup
  • Salt 1/4 tsp
  • Black pepper 1/4 tsp
  • Vinegar 1 tbsp
  • Ketchup 2 tbsp
  • Oil 1/4 cup

Method:

  1. Marinate chicken cubes with salt, black pepper and soya sauce.
  2. Make batter of egg, flour, corn flour, salt, black pepper and baking powder.
  3. Then dip chicken in batter and deep fry it.
  4. For sauce: Heat oil and fry onion and capsicum until soft.
  5. Now add soya sauce, salt, black pepper, vinegar, ketchup, stock and orange juice.
  6. Then dissolve corn flour in little water and put it.
  7. When thick, take it out.
  8. Then add in chicken and serve with fried rice and coleslaw salad.

Mandarin Chicken is a Main Course dish, prepared with Chicken, marinated with Soya Sauce, dipped in Egg & Flour mixture and served with Sauce, Rice & Salad.
