Ingredients:

  • Mutton or Beef 450 gm
  • Lemon juice 1 tbsp
  • Chili powder 1/4 tsp
  • Black pepper 1/4 tsp
  • Oil 1/4 cup
  • Cinnamon stick 1
  • Cardamom 3
  • Green chili 3
  • Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Onion 1
  • Garlic cloves 2
  • Ginger grated 1 piece
  • Turmeric 1/2 tsp
  • Ground cumin 1 tsp
  • Ground coriander 1 tsp
  • Garam masala 1 tsp
  • Tomato chopped 3 medium
  • Fresh coriander leaves handful
  • Paprika powder as required
  • Red chili as required

Method:

  1. Put beef or mutton in medium bowl, add lemon juice, paprika powder, chili powder and black pepper powder, mix it, marinate for 15 minutes and keep it aside.
  2. Then heat oil in pan, add cinnamon, cardamom, whole chili and cumin seeds and add, ginger, garlic and onion and fry on medium flame until golden brown.
  3. Now add marinated meat in remaining oil and stir fry for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Then add turmeric, cumin, coriander and garam masala, cook for 2 minutes on low flame, put water and cook for 15-20 minutes till meat tender.
  5. Then add tomatoes, cook on high flame for 5-8 minutes and serve hot.

Bhuna Gosht is Traditional Indian Recipe. It is also eaten in Pakistan.
