Moroccan Fish Curry by Zarnak Sidhwa

Ingredients:

  • Fish fillet 1/2 kg
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Flour as required
  • Oil as required
  • Bay leaf 1
  • Finely chopped onion 1
  • Garlic cloves 2-3
  • Tomato puree 2
  • Harissa paste 2 tbsp
  • Black & green olives chopped few
  • Lemon juice, Rice or Couscous to serve

Method:

  1. Marinate fish with salt, black pepper and some flour, put in pan, fry until golden and keep it aside.
  2. Now heat oil in pan, add bay leaf, onion and garlic and cook until raw smell finish and color of onion changes.
  3. Then add tomato puree and cook for 10 minutes.
  4. Now add harissa paste, water and salt, cover it and cook on low flame.
  5. Now cook pan fish pieces with olives.
  6. Then sprinkle lemon juice and serve with rice and couscous.

Moroccan Fish Curry is Spicy Moroccan Cuisine. It is typically mix of Mediterranean, Arabic, Andalusian and Berber Cuisine.
