  • Chicken 1 kg
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Vinegar 2 tbsp
  • Desiccated coconut 1-1/3 cup
  • Crushed garlic 4 tbsp
  • Cumin 1 tsp
  • Ground turmeric 1/2 tsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tsp
  • Crushed black pepper 1/2 tsp
  • Chopped ginger 1 tsp
  • Curry leaves 10
  • Sugar 1 tbsp
  • Boiled rice for serve


  1. Put chicken pieces in saucepan, cover with water and bring to boil.
  2. Then increase flame and cook till chicken tender.
  3. Then take out water and keep 1 cup.
  4. Now heat oil in saucepan, add vinegar, coconut, garlic, cumin, turmeric, red chili powder, black pepper, ginger and curry leaves and saute for 2 minutes.
  5. Then add chicken pieces, add remaining stock and sugar and bring to boil.
  6. Now reduce flame and simmer it for 15 minutes.
  7. Then serve with boiled rice.

Chicken Curry is delicious dish. It is common dish in Pakistan. The flavor of curry leaves is aromatic. It is served with rice or roti.
