Gona Steak & Egg

Ingredients:

  • Beef steak slice 500 gm
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Lemon juice 2 tbsp
  • Tempero cheiroso spice mix 1 tsp
  • Onion slice 2
  • Capsicum slice 2
  • Recheado masala 1 tbsp
  • Eggs 2
  • Salt to taste

For Recheado Masala:

  • Kashmiri chilies 20
  • Garlic cloves 8
  • Cinnamon 2 inch
  • Ginger 2 inch
  • Cumin 1/2 tsp
  • Black pepper 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric 1/2 tsp
  • Cloves 10
  • Vinegar 1/2 cup
  • Chopped onion 1/2 cup
  • Sugar 1 tsp
  • Oil 2 tbsp

For Tempero Cheiroso Spice Mix:

  • Coriander seeds 1 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds 1 tbsp
  • Black pepper 1 tsp
  • Cloves 10
  • Cardamom 5
  • Cinnamon 1 inch
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp

Method:

  1. For steak: Tender beef with fork or meat hammer.
  2. Now marinate beef with ginger garlic paste, lemon juice and tempero cheiroso spice mix.
  3. Now keep in fridge for 1 hour.
  4. Then heat oil in pan, fry beef from both sides until brown, cover it and keep it aside.
  5. Now heat some oil in pan and fry onion on high flame.
  6. When onion is soft, add recheado masala and fry on high flame for few minutes.
  7. Then add capsicum with 1/2 cup water in pan and cook for few minutes.
  8. Now close stove and keep it aside.
  9. Fry eggs before plating.
  10. Then mix fried steak in recheado masala mixture, coat it nicely, put in platter and serve with eggs.
  11. For recheado masala: Soak Kashmiri chilies, garlic, ginger, cinnamon, cumin, black pepper, turmeric and cloves in vinegar for few hours.
  12. Now heat oil in pan and saute onion.
  13. Then add sugar in onion, cook it, keep it aside and cool it.
  14. Now grind soaked ingredients and make thick paste.
  15. Now mix onion sugar mixture and store in airtight box.
  16. For tempero cheiroso spice mix: Grind coriander, cumin, black pepper, cloves, cardamom and cinnamon, mix with turmeric and store in airtight box.

Gona Steak & Egg is amazing dish. It is prepared with beef stick & eggs. It is most served as breakfast or brunch.
