Ingredients:

  • Boiled sela rice 1/2 kg
  • Potatoes 3
  • Boiled meat 1/2 kg
  • Yogurt 250 gm
  • Tomatoes 250 gm
  • Grinded green chilies 2 tbsp
  • Coriander powder 2 tsp
  • Salt 2 tsp
  • Crushed red chilies 2 tsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tsp
  • Turmeric 1/2 tsp
  • Mix all spice 1 tbsp
  • Star ansie 4
  • Nutmeg powder 1/4 tsp
  • Mace 1/4 tsp
  • Chaat masala 2 tsp
  • Chinese salt 1/2 tsp
  • Finely chopped ginger 1 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Plum 50 gm
  • Curry leaves 6
  • Coriander leaves 1/2 bunch
  • Mint leaves 1/2 bunch
  • Yellow color 1/2 tsp
  • Oil 1 cup
  • Fried onion 1 tsp

Method:

  1. Put water, red chilies, turmeric, red chili powder, salt, oil, mix all spices, ginger garlic paste, Chinese salt, nutmeg, mace and star anise in bowl and mix it.
  2. Now put in pot, add boiled meat and cook for 10 minutes.
  3. Then put potatoes and roast it.
  4. When it half tender, mix yogurt with yellow color and spread in pot.
  5. Put fried onion, tomatoes slices, plum, coriander leaves, mint leaves, chaat masala, curry leaves and ginger and put boiled rice.
  6. Now put oil on rice, simmer it for 30 minutes and close stove.

Degi Biryani is tasty dish. It is very common dish in Pakistan. It is served in parties and at home party.
