  • Chicken 1
  • Hung curd 4 tbsp
  • Onions chopped 2
  • Ginger 1-1/2 inch
  • Garlic cloves 8
  • Oil 3 tbsp
  • Sugar 1 tsp
  • Bay leaf 1
  • Whole mix spice 1 tbsp
  • Water 1 cup
  • Coriander powder 1-1/2 tsp
  • Cumin powder 1-1/2 tsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Chopped spinach 2 cups
  • Tomatoes 4
  • Coconut milk powder 2 tsp
  • All spice powder 1 tsp
  • Lemon juice 1 tsp
  • Small cardamom powder 1/2 tsp
  • Roti, Rice for serve


  1. Wash chicken.
  2. Now spread hung curd on chicken, keep in fridge for whole day and marinate it.
  3. Put onion, green chilies, ginger and garlic in blender and blend it.
  4. Now heat oil in pan, put sugar, bay leaf and whole mix spice.
  5. Now put grinded masala and onion and roast it.
  6. Then put water, coriander powder, cumin, red chili powder and salt and roast for 20 minutes.
  7. Then put water and spinach in blender and blend it nicely.
  8. Now put spinach mixture in chicken and mix it nicely.
  9. Put tomatoes, hung curd, coconut milk powder in blender and blend it.
  10. Heat oil in pan, put chicken, spinach mixture, hung curd and tomato paste, cover it, put all spice powder and cook it for 30 minutes.
  11. Then put small cardamom powder and lemon juice and serve with rice or roti.

Chicken In Spinach Gravy is delicious dish. Chicken is marinated with hung curd. Then cooked with green chilies masala, tomato paste and spinach mixture. Serve with roti or naan.
