Sweet-And-Sour Potatoes

  • 8 potatoes; boiled in skin
  • 1 Onion; medium, diced
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • ¼ tsp Pepper
  • ¾ cup Sugar
  • ¼ kg Beef; slices, cut up
  • ¾ cup Vinegar


  1. Peel and cube potatoes. Add diced onion, salt, pepper, and sugar.
  2. Reserve in a covered bowl.
  3. In a small fry pan, fry the beef until crisp. Add the vinegar to the hot bacon and bring to a boil.
  4. Pour immediately over potato mixture, mix well.
  5. If too tart, add a little more sugar before serving.
  6. Serve with lettuce leaf.
