Cabbage with peas

Ingredients:

  • 1 small cabbage,
  • ½ cup peas
  • 1 large potato,
  • ½ stick cinnamon
  • 2 bay leaves,
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder,
  • 1½ tsp cumin powder,
  • ¼ tsp chilli powder,
  • 1½ tsp grated ginger,
  • ½ tsp sugar,
  • 1 tsp salt,
  • 3 tsp oil,
  • ¼ cup water,
  • 3 tbsp milk,
  • ½ tsp flour,
  • 2 tsp ghee

Method:

  1. Shred cabbage into thin pieces. Peel and cut potato into small pieces.
  2. Heat oil in the saucepan. Add cinnamon and bay leaves, add potatoes. Fry for 3-4 minutes. Add cabbage. Add turmeric, cumin, chili, ginger, sugar and salt.
  3. Fry on medium heat for 5-6 minutes.
  4. Add water. Add peas. Cover. Simmer for 15 minutes.
  5. Mix milk, flour and liquid ghee. Pour over cabbage. Cook 2 or 3 minutes more.
