Chocolate Mousse Torte by Zarnak Sidhwa

Ingredients:

  • 50 gram butter
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp golden syrup
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 tsp ginger powder
  • 100 gram chocolate melted, to dip

Method:

  1. Combine butter, sugar, syrup over low heat and cook till sugar has dissolved.
  2. Remove from heat and add flour and ginger powder.
  3. Drop tea spoons of the mixture onto baking tray, two at a time, allowing plenty of room to spread.
  4. Bake only 5 minutes on 180 degrees C.
  5. Leave 30 seconds on tray.
  6. Carefully lift off the tray while still warm and roll around handle of a wooden spoon into a cylinder shape.
  7. When cool and rise, gently slide off the spoon.
  8. Coat completely and then chill.
  9. Dip each end of ginger snack into the melted chocolate, drain all access chocolate and let keep in a sheet of grease paper.
