Masoor Biryani And Raita Masala Wala by Chef Samina

Ingredients for Masoor Biryani:

  • Whole split gram 2 cup
  • Sela rice 1/2 kg
  • Boiled eggs 4-5
  • Fried onion 1/2 cup
  • Chopped tomato 2-3
  • Salt to taste
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • Red chilli powder 1-1/2 tsp
  • Ghee 1/2 cup
  • Coriander, Mint as required
  • Green chillies to taste
  • Mix spices 1 tbsp
  • Mix spices powder 1/2 tsp
  • Lemon juice 2 tbsp
  • Yellow color 1/4 tsp

Method:

  1. Put salt and garam masala in rice and boil it.
  2. Heat ghee, add tomato, salt, chillies, ginger garlic paste, turmeric and daal and roast masala.
  3. Now put coriander, green chillies, mint, boiled daal and fried onion and leave it.
  4. In one pot, make layer of rice first. Then add all masala, remaining rice and some ghee.
  5. In end, dissolve yellow color in 2 tbsp water, put in rice and keep for simmer.
  6. Masoor Biryani is ready.

Ingredients for Raita Masala Wala:

  • Yogurt 250 gm
  • Red chilli powder 1/2 tsp
  • Black pepper 1/4 tsp
  • Chaat masala 1/2 tsp
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Roasted cumin 1/2 tsp
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Curry leaves 6-8

Method:

  1. Beat salt, red chilli powder, black pepper, chaat masala and roasted cumin in yogurt.
  2. Heat oil and roast curry leaves.
  3. Put raita on top and serve.
