Easy Sugar Cookies by Zarnak Sidhwa

Ingredients:

• Flour 1-1/2 cups
• Baking soda 1/2 tsp
• Baking powder 1/4 tsp
• Butter 1/2 cup
• Caster sugar 3/4 cup
• Egg 1/2
• Vanilla essence 1/2 tsp
  

Method:

1. In a bowl, stir together flour, baking soda and baking powder. Set aside.
2. In another bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth.
3. Beat in egg and vanilla.
4. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients.
5. Roll rounded tsp of dough into balls, and place onto ungreased cookies sheets.
6. Bake for 8-10 minutes at 190 degrees C or until golden.
7. Let stand on cookie sheet two minutes before removing to cool on wire racks.
