Ingredients:

  • Green gram lentil 1/2 cup
  • Red lentil 1/2 cup
  • Gram lentil 1 tbsp
  • Yellow lentil 1 tbsp
  • Pigeon lentil 1 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric 1 tsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Chopped ginger 2 tbsp
  • Dried mango piece 6
  • Raw mango 1
  • Butter 1 small packet
  • Chopped green chilies 4

For Bhagar:

  • Chopped onion 1
  • Red chilies chopped 6
  • Garlic 4 cloves
  • White cumin 1 tsp
  • Oil as required

Method:

  1. Wash all lentils with lukewarm water and soak for 2 hours.
  2. Now drain water, add fresh lukewarm water and boil it.
  3. Use wooden spoon.
  4. Also put turmeric, red chili powder and ginger garlic paste and leave for cook.
  5. When lentils tendered, mash it, put dried mango, chopped green chilies, salt and 1/2 packet butter. Then add 2 cups lukewarm water and cook it nicely.
  6. After that, put oil and 1/2 packet butter in frying pan, put all ingredients of bhagar and do golden brown.
  7. Now add bhagar in lentils and serve with hot hot rice and chapati.
