Chicken Tahiri by Shireen Anwer

Ingredients:

  • Rice 1/2 kg
  • Chicken boneless 1/2 kg
  • Oil 1/2 cup
  • Onion chopped 1 cup
  • Yogurt 1 cup
  • All spice 1/2 tsp
  • Potatoes 2
  • Coriander powder 1 tsp
  • Cumin powder 1 tsp
  • Turmeric 1/4 tsp
  • Chili powder 1 tsp
  • Ginger garlic 1tbsp
  • Green chilies 3
  • Coriander leaves 2 tbsp
  • Peas 1/2 cup

Method:

  1. Heat oil and fry onion chopped until light golden.
  2. Now add ginger garlic paste with all spice, coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric and chili powder and fry it nicely.
  3. Then put chopped potatoes and chicken boneless cubes, cover it and cook until both tender.
  4. Now add yogurt and peas and cook for 10 minutes.
  5. Then put soaked rice with 2 cup water and green chilies, cover it and cook on high flame for 5 minutes.
  6. Then low flame and simmer it until it is ready.
