Beef Korma by Rida Aftab

Ingredients:

  • Beef 1 kg
  • Yogurt 375 gm
  • Oil 1 cup
  • Fried onions 1 cup
  • Chopped ginger as required
  • Bay leaves 1
  • Cardamom 6
  • Kewra essence few drops
  • Cumin 1 tsp
  • Whole black pepper 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tsp
  • Mace powder 1/2 tsp
  • Cream of tartar 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • Salt 1/2 tsp
  • Coconut powder 2 tbsp
  • Red chili powder 1-1/2 tsp

Method:

  1. Grind cumin, black pepper, coconut and mace in grinder.
  2. Now take it out in bowl, put turmeric, salt, chili powder, coriander, bay leaves, tartar and kewra essence and mix it nicely.
  3. Then mix in meat, yogurt and onions and leave for 30 minutes.
  4. Then heat oil, put meat, cover it and leave it for 30 minutes.
  5. When meat tender, add water.
  6. When 2-3 boils come, put ginger and green chilies as required and serve.
