Ghota Saag by Chef Gulzar

Ingredients:

  • Spinach 250 gm
  • Saag 250 gm
  • Fresh or Dry fenugreek as required
  • Ginger garlic paste 3 tbsp
  • Onion 1
  • Green chilies 3-4
  • Red chili flakes 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • Crushed black pepper 1/2 tsp
  • Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
  • All spice powder 1/2 tsp
  • Butter 4-5 tbsp
  • Oil 3-4 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Put spinach, saag, fenugreek, 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste, green chilies and water as required in pot and cook until water dries and saag tender.
  2. Then mash it and keep it aside.
  3. Then heat oil and butter in pan and fry 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste.
  4. Then add red chili, turmeric, black pepper, cumin seeds, all spice powder and salt and roast it.
  5. Then add in saag, mix it and cook it.
  6. In end, dish out it and serve.
