Ingredients:

  • Potatoes (cubed & boiled) 1/2 kg
  • Oil 1/2 cup
  • Ginger (finely chopped) 1 tbsp
  • Green chilies (finely chopped) 4
  • Tomatoes (blended in sieved) 3
  • Turmeric 1/2 tsp
  • Crushed coriander 1/2 tsp
  • Red chili powder 1/2 tsp
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Curd 1 tbsp
  • Coriander leaves 2 tbsp

Method:

  1. Boil potatoes and press with hands.
  2. Now heat oil and put ginger, green chilies, tomatoes, turmeric, coriander, red chili powder and salt.
  3. Also add 1 cup water, cook for 10 minutes and remove from stove.
  4. Gravy should be thick.
  5. Put coriander leaves and serve with pooriyan.

Lagay Liptay Aloo is other variety of potatoes. It is healthy dish. It can be served with roti or puri and can be served in breakfast or as light meal.
