Steamed Chicken And Lauki Ka Raita by Sana Asif

Ingredients For Steamed Chicken:

  • Chicken cubes 1/2 kg
  • Yogurt  1/4
  • Chopped garlic  1 to 2 tbsp
  • Chopped green chilies 1 to 2
  • Salt  to taste
  • Black pepper  as needed
  • Chopped carrot 1
  • Boiled potatoes  1
  • Aluminum foil  1 sheet

Method:

  1. First take a double boiler or big pan in a water keep filter and cover it by pouring water.
  2. Then add chicken cubes with yogurt, salt, black pepper, chopped garlic and chopped green chilies mix it for marination.
  3. Now cut the aluminum foil into 6 to 8 pieces, when the chicken is marinated then put the chicken, carrot and boiled pieces in a foil, give it shape of bag.
  4. When all the bags are ready then keep it in boiler for 15 minutes, steam it.
  5. When it becomes ready then serve it hot.

Ingredients For Lauki Ka Raita:

  • Bottle gourd  250 gm
  • Yogurt  250 gm
  • Black pepper  to taste
  • Salt  to taste
  • Red chili powder  1/2 tsp
  • Mint leaves  6 to 8

Method:

  1. First of all boil the bottle gourd and grate it.
  2. Then take a bowl beat it and add salt, black pepper and chopped red chilies mix it well.
  3. Now mix the boiled grated bottle gourd.
  4. Raita of bottle gourd is ready.
  5. Before serving garnish it with mint leaves.
