Ingredients:

  • Butter 12 oz
  • Caster sugar 12 oz
  • Flour 12 oz
  • Eggs 6
  • Milk 4 tbsp
  • Coco powder 3 tbsp
  • Baking powder 3 tsp
  • Vanilla essence 2 tsp

For Icing:

  • Butter 6 oz
  • Icing sugar 12 oz
  • Crushed nuts or crushed biscuits as required

Method:

  1. Beat 12 oz butter and 12 oz caster sugar until light and creamy.
  2. Now put 1 egg yolk and beat it nicely.
  3. Then put vanilla essence and egg whites and beat until stiff.
  4. Now fold mixture in it.
  5. Now strain flour and baking powder and fold in butter and egg mixture.
  6. Also fold milk.
  7. Now make paste of coco powder, 2 tsp extra milk and 2 tsp caster sugar.
  8. Then divide cake batter into 2 portions, dissolve coco mixture in one portion and add few drops of yellow color in second portion.
  9. Now grease 3 sandwich tin and put yellow batter on edges of 2 tin.
  10. Then put coco batter.
  11. Now put yellow batter again.
  12. Then put coco batter first in third tin.
  13. Then put yellow batter and add yellow batter again.
  14. Then bake in preheated oven on 180 degrees C for 35 minutes.
  15. Now take out cake and cool on wire rack.
  16. For cake assemble: Put yellow batter cake first on cake plate.
  17. Now spread strawberry jam and cover with chocolate cake.
  18. Now spread strawberry jam on it and cover again with chocolate cake.
  19. Then spread icing on cake.
  20. Now spread biscuits on edges of cake.
  21. For icing: Beat butter with icing sugar until creamy.
