Italian Bread Pudding by Shireen Anwer

Ingredients:

  • Cubed Fresh Bread - 3 cups
  • Melted Butter - 3 oz
  • Milk - 1 cup
  • Cream - 1 packet
  • Orange Juice - 1/2 cup
  • Eggs - 4
  • Sugar - 3/4 cup
  • Vanilla Essence - 1 tsp
  • Salt - 1 pinch

Ingredients for caramel sauce:

  • Sugar - 1/2 cup
  • Brown Sugar - 1/2 cup
  • Butter - 4 oz
  • Cream - 4 oz
  • Vanilla Essence - 1 tsp
  • Corn Syrup - 1 tbsp

Method:

  1. To make caramel sauce, take a sauce pan and add sugar, brown sugar, butter, cream, vanilla essence, corn syrup and cook well till it gets saucy.
  2. For pudding, cut french bread in cubes and mix with melted butter.
  3. Put them in a greased remittance.
  4. In a bowl, add milk, cream, orange juice, eggs, sugar, vanilla essence, a pinch of salt and mix.
  5. Now add this mixture over the bread and bake for 20 to 25 minutes on 180c.
  6. Pour caramel sauce on top of it and serve with ice-cream.

Italian Bread Pudding is an Italian Dessert, prepared with Bread, Butter and Cream, topped with Caramel Sauce and served with Ice Cream.
