Ingredients:

  • Chicken boneless 1/2 kg
  • Fresh milk 1 cup
  • Oil 1 cup
  • Rice 2 cups
  • Saffron as required
  • Cloves 4
  • Small cardamom 6
  • Sugar 1-1/2 cup
  • Boiled almonds 10-15
  • Pistachio 15-20
  • Colorful ashrafiyaan as required
  • Sugar 1 tsp

For Boil Rice:

  • Small cardamom 4
  • Cloves 4

Method:

  1. Put rice and 4-5 cups water in pot.
  2. Also add 4 small cardamom and 4 cloves and boil 2/4.
  3. Boil almonds and pistachios, peel it and cut into 2 pieces.
  4. When rice boils 2/4, drain water.
  5. Then heat oil in pot, put 4 cloves, 1 tsp sugar and 6 small cardmom.
  6. When aroma comes, put chicken and dry water.
  7. Then mix rice in chicken.
  8. Also add ashrafiyaan.
  9. Now mix almonds, pistachios and 1-1/2 cups sugar.
  10. Then mix saffron in milk, put it, mix it nicely and put again in pot.
  11. First keep on high flame and simmer on tawa.
  12. Mutanjan is ready.

Mutanjan is Pakistani Sweet Dish or Sweet Rice, prepared with Rice, Nuts, Chicken, Saffron & Dry Fruit. It is served in Eid-ul-Fitr in Pakistan.
