Steam Fish With Cherry Olive by Chef Zakir

Ingredients:

  • Whole fish 1
  • Capsicum chopped 1
  • Carrot chopped 1
  • Tomato chopped 1
  • Spring onion 2
  • Sweet cherries 1/2 cup
  • Water 1/2 cup
  • Ginger 1 piece
  • Garlic 3-4 cloves
  • Green olives 10-12
  • Brown sugar 1 tsp
  • Corn flour 1 tbsp
  • Soya sauce 1 tbsp
  • Wooster sauce 1 tbsp
  • Black pepper 1 tbsp
  • Vinegar 1 tbsp
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  1. First clean whole fish nicely and make cuts.
  2. Then in one bowl, put salt, lemon juice, fish, black pepper and marinate it.
  3. Add half ginger and half cloves of garlic in it.
  4. Now steam for 12 to 15 minutes in a steamer.
  5. Now cut spring onions, capsicum, carrot and tomato into small pieces.
  6. Then cut sweet cherries and green olives into two.
  7. Now in one karahi pan, heat oil, add remaining ginger and garlic and golden it.
  8. Now add all vegetables, olives and cherries.
  9. After, add vinegar, brown sugar, soya sauce, wooster sauce, salt and black pepper and cook it.
  10. When it is being cooked, make it thick with the help of flour.
  11. Put steam fish in platter, spread with sauce on the top and serve it.
