Ingredients for Student Biryani:

  • Mutton 1/2 kg
  • Rice 1/2 kg
  • Salt 3 tsp
  • Potatoes 3
  • Tomatoes 3 chopped
  • Onion brown 1 cup
  • Green chillies 12 small ones
  • Coriander leaves 1/2 cup
  • Mint leaves 1/2 bunch
  • Dried plum 10
  • Kewra water 1 tsp
  • Yellow color 1/4 tsp
  • Oil 3/4 cup
  • Salt 1-1/2 tsp
  • Chilli powder 2-1/2 tsp
  • Coriander powder 1-1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  • All spice 1 tsp
  • Black cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Bay leaf 1
  • Ginger garlic paste 3 tbsp
  • Yogurt 1 cup

Ingredients for Chicken Bread:

  • Flour 16 ounces
  • Yeast heaped 1 tbsp
  • Powder milk 2 tbsp
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Oil 4 tbsp
  • Eggs 2
  • Chicken boiled 1-1/2 cup
  • Onion chopped 1
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Black pepper 1 tsp
  • Coriander leaves 2 tbsp
  • Green chillies chopped 4
  • All spices powder 1 tsp

For Chicken Filling:

  • Flour 2 tbsp
  • Butter 2 tbsp
  • Milk 1 cup
  • Sesame seeds as required

Ingredients for Dekchi Pasanda Kabab:

  • Beef Pasanda 1/2 kg
  • Brown onion 2 tbsp
  • Ginger/Garlic 1-1/2 tsp
  • Cumin 1 tsp
  • Chilli Powder 2 tsp
  • All spices powder 1-1/2 tsp
  • Coriander roasted 1 tsp
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Oil 1/4 cup
  • Raw papaya 1 tbsp
  • Yogurt 3 tbsp

  • On friday, I made student biryani with mutton. I did not use v small and hot green chillies. Instead I used 4 medium spicy serrano chillies. rest of the recipe was same, followed all the steps.also I used only 2 tbsp yogurt during simmer, instead of 1 cup yogurt. It turned out very good. Plz try it and post ur comments here.
