Vegetable Bharta, Puri And Coconut Ladoo by Sara Riaz

Ingredients for Vegetable Bharta:

  • Potato  1/2 kg
  • Peas  1/2 kg
  • Cabbage 250 gm
  • Turmeric  1 tsp
  • Chopped red chili  1 tsp
  • Salt  1 tsp
  • Chopped green chili  4
  • Green coriander  4 tbsp
  • Onion  1
  • Onion seeds 1 tsp
  • Fenugreek seeds  1/2 tsp

Method:

  1. Boil potato, peas and cabbage.
  2. Now mash vegetables, put finely chopped onions, coriander, green chilies, salt, red chili and turmeric and mix it.
  3. Heat oil and roast fenugreek seeds and mixture.
  4. In end, add onion seeds and serve with hot pooriyan.

Ingredients for Puri:

  • Flour  1/2 kg
  • Yogurt  4 tbsp
  • Salt  1 tsp
  • Sooji  2 tbsp
  • Oil  2 tbsp

Method:

  1. Mix all ingredients, knead flour and leave it for a while.
  2. Now make portions, roll them and deep fry in hot oil.
  3. Hot hot poriyan is ready.

Ingredients for Coconut Ladoo:

  • Coconut powder 2 cups
  • Condensed milk  as required
  • Sugar  1/4 cup
  • Yellow colour  1 pinch
  • Paper cups  2 dozen

Method:

  1. Put coconut powder in condensed milk and mix it nicely.
  2. Now make balls of mixture and keep in fridge.
  3. Mix yellow colour in sugar. Then roll balls in sugar mixture, keep in paper cups and serve.
