Sooji ka halwa

Ingredients:

  • Semolina 250 gm
  • Sugar750gm
  • ghee 250gm
  • water 550 ml
  • cardamom 5-6
  • food color for garnish
  • almond pistachio for garnish
  • silver paper for garnish

Method:

  1. Add cardamom and sugar to water and prepare a syrup
  2. In a pan fry semolina and ghee together so that the semolina becomes slightly brown
  3. Then add in the sugar syrup and food colouring and keep mixing
  4. Now leave it on dam.When you start seeing little balls take the halwa off.
  5. Garnish with almonds ,pistachios ,silver paper and serve.

Misalai Daleem

Ingredients:

  • Chooka dalia 1/2 cup
  • wheat dalia 1/2 cup
  • Chana daal 1/2 cup
  • Arhar daal 1/4 cup
  • maash daal 1/2 cup
  • broken rice 1/4 cup

For the masala:

  •  oil 1/2 cup
  • onions 1 big
  • Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
  • crushed red chili 1 tbsp
  • red chili powder 1- 1/2 tbsp
  • Turmeric 1 tbsp
  • salt 1 tbsp
  • coriander powder 1 tbsp
  • tomatoes 500 gms
  • potatoes 1 cup
  •  Bottle Gourd 1 cup
  • egg plant 1 cup
  • cauliflower 1 cup

For the baghar:

  • onion 1
  • curry leaf  7-8 
  • green chili 3-4
  • ginger 1 clove
  • whole red chili 5-6
  • sesame seeds 1 cup
  • vinegar for serving 
  • mint for serving
  • fried onions for serving
  • crushed ginger for serving
  • salt for serving 
  • chaat masala for serving
